No F* is a FACKED No seriously the USD just hit all time in Euro recently pero right now small pullback. Of course madaming politicians sa Eurozone medyo worried na and starting to complain on the strong Euro fact of the matter is they can't really do anything about it because its the USD that is weak and not the EUR that is strong. I guess same case in the USD/PHP pair. But there are some currencies naman like USD/CAD and AUD/USD where USD is already weak and the other currency is strong thus double wammy for the all-mighty (yeh right) Dollar.

with the recent bombing, usd might get stronger against peso...a bit sign of relief just for a moment :roll:

Actually USD will rise against all basura currencies given the slump in the stock market risk aversion rises so people get out of basura currencies like Peso and Indonesian Rupiah to name a few. The USD might also strengthen against carry trade currencies like Aussie and Kiwi Dollars. But the USD will still fall against the majors like the Euro, Swiss Franc, Canadian Dollar, Japanese Yen (due to carry undwinding)....

Why the peso keeps rising

MANILA, Philippines--LAST WEEK, Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas (BSP) Deputy Governor Diwa Guinigundo was quoted as saying that the uptrend in the value of the peso vis-a-vis the dollar will continue for the rest of the year. This is in spite of jitters from rising oil prices and the credit crunch in the US, and notwithstanding the BSP's occasional intervention at the spot foreign exchange market to avoid drastic movements.
