boss yamada. this was an illiquid stock before, trading only at 1 board lots at a time. there was small volume at the bottom of the cup and to the right side of the cup volume surges when price was rising except near the highs. but nonetheless, cups without u-shaped volume may tend to underperform postbreakout. for TA's like us, we tend to avoid illiquid stocks, but this caught my eye, when somebody pointed this out in our daily skype chat, and i saw unusual volume surge for the past few days. just my luck.
sherwin, yup, its a cracked cup

but at times i want to trade a stock, i tend to find a more relevant pattern to give me an approximate tp so i'll know where i'm going. and at that time, the cup and handle is what i see. and as shown on the chart above, the moving averages were in consolidation at the time the cup has formed. and at the handle, the moving averages are aligned and trending, so IMHO price could go higher and reach tp.
anyway, with the recent selldown near closing time yesterday, this managed to reach the handle tp=14.75 for the 2nd time

. right now it formed a possible flag and if 14.75 is broken, a possible tp of 19.50
but with the dow -200pts last night, the other way could happen so good luck guys and always follow your trading plan!
