Hello all,

Is it possible(and for that matter legal) for a Filipino citizen to buy and sell foreign stocks online?

Hi,

When investing in the US stock markets, are there board lots that are being followed similar to what we have in PSE?

Thanks.

Nope. Thats the beauty of the US stock markets against other stock markets (at least the 2 I know of which is Philippine and Hong Kong which have board lots). In the US you can transact even just 1 share so just in case there was stock splits or stock dividend di ka maiipit with unwanted stocks

Thanks Sherwin. I'm starting to think of trading the US stock market. After browsing all the stocks at the PSE, you don't really get too much options. Teka, does that mean you're up all night when you trade?

Of course not I only watch the first hour now since the time has been adjusted to 10:30PM and bahala na ang mga stop orders or in my case since I am a long term trader I have huge stops so my trading style can cope with me not even looking at the markets every minute of it.

I also have the same sentiment why I don't trade local stocks anymore once you try the US markets you will not want to go back trading local anymore kung baga you just wanna spend your time in this market instead.
