Nope. Fundamentally, a currency that has a higher interest rate over the dollar tend to appreciate in the long term. SInce di kaya ng powers ko labanan ang dollar carry trade na nangyayari sa pair na to I just went long for several occasions already.. Makabawi man lang sa talo.hehe

Hehe. The trend is just so strong. I was dumb shorting this one the other week. Most dollar pairs went down yesterday but this pair won't even strongly break 0.9150.

Aside from the fact that there is a very nice interest spread between the AUD and the USD which makes this a very nice carry trade, the Australian economy is highly regarded nowadays. RBA is also well respected, i heard one expert analyst say that the RBA as the most sound Central bank of the major currencies. napansin ko din yan that everytime may announcement galing RBA napapagalaw din even the other currencies like GBPUSD and EURUSD. try to observe that.

RBA once said that if you're going to compute the true interest rate in AUD, it should be around 5%.

That is high, even higher than the PHP interest rate. However, China is trying to decelerate the pace of economic expansion, and since China is Australia's main customer, do you, masters, still think that they are going to be bullish aside from the factor of carry trade?

UCAD meanwhile, has a better shot at parity this year, i think. Because, if US is on it's way to recovery, then, their sales would improve much more than what we are seeing right now.

what do you mean in denial master yeahbah? base on the 4h chart MAs, looks like the pair is using the MAs as support first, then wapak, resistance.. i hope the 200ma becomes the support only, then go up to the high heavens as RBA wants to raise rates again to 5%.

yeahbah's right. i think 0.9000 is a good support for now pwede ka short term trades dito. But not for long, tingin ko babagsak pa to. I am looking at 0.8800 where I want to build up long term positions. Sana bumagsak pa. Masyado pa mataas at current level nya para mag buy and hold strategy ako dito. Actually it already closed below the daily 100 MVA which served as resistance last Feb 22, Mar 1, Mar2 & Mar 4. There's a rising trendline somewhere near 0.8950 by next week. make or break this trendline we'll see. But definitely I won't short this one. Sariwa pa sa gunita ko yung sablay na short trade ko dito. hehe

Good observation there hunter. Pansin ko din yan kahapon mga commodity dollars nanghina while the other currencies like the EUR and GBP rose. What's up with these pairs?
