Born 20th of March
1978 at Carmona, a small town in Cavite. Arnold
is the second of four siblings. During his early
years, he is fond of spending time watching TV,
playing with other kids he hardly knew but most
of time he takes time daydreaming on “What
ifs”. What if he was not born, What if he
is rich enough to buy the Philippines, and a lot
of “What ifs”.
He attended Elementary school and High School at Sta. Catalina College in Biñan Laguna. In his fourth year in high school he discovered new love, passion and devotion…he has found Natasha…Natasha, she sits there like she knew nothing, a simple but intelligent being, full of un-tapped knowledge waiting to be discovered. Arnold played with Natasha all day and all night, trying to find out how she ticks…By the way, Natasha is Arnold’s PC hehe. Due to Arnold’s strong interest in computers, he then decided to take up Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at AMA Computer College. There he struggled to survive the agonies of College. He hardly slept a good 8 hours of sleep. Caffeine intake is torturous…but he takes time to hang out with his friends killing them one by one with his double barrel shotgun…kablang! Kablang! in the very popular game, Doom II. Aside from computers, Arnold is also into billiards. He learned the sport early in his age. He has won and lost several matches that made him stronger each game he played. He placed fourth runner-up at 1999 Biñan Mayor’s cup and won second place at PISFA (for what this acronym means) 9-Ball competition. At last, September of 1999, Arnold graduated from college and ready to take on another challenge…the real world…He accepted a job at Innodata Philippines just to gain working experience and of course Christmas is near approaching, Arnold badly needed the money for his parents already cut-off his allowance right after graduation…poor Arnold. While working at Innodata, he took a second job, now Arnold is getting serious. He was hired as a Programmer Trainee at Unified Softworks Inc. There he utilized his skills in programming. Because of the fact that he is used to console and embedded applications using C, Pascal and Assembly he was pretty amazed with visual programming using Delphi…”Wow” and “Whoa” was his first words… He learned lots of programming techniques, principles and concepts at Unified SoftWorks, Inc. Unfortunately the major investor of the company took over and laid off all of SoftWorks Management and Staff, including Arnold. The new management offered Arnold a very tempting offer but he declined the offer for he has accepted a job as a Programmer at ASPAC International, Inc. There he learned to survive on his own. He was given a task to develop a Warehouse Management System based on a prototype written using PowerBuilder. The prototype has no working modules, the user interface is a mess. Arnold fixed everything from the design to documentation of WMS. After a year, he was absorbed by ASPAC’s sister company, ASPAC Worldwide Logistics, Inc. There he took on a more challenging role as the sole IT programmer. He brought to the company two web-based applications, one website, one flash-based presentation and one graphic design in a span of more or less six months. Now Arnold seeks much greater challenges, and
will leave the ASPAC family to seek technical
advancement and growth… |
